August is nearly over - the time when summer boredom begins, so Granny Look has been searching for books, games, "Beat the Boredom" busters and other things to keep your grandchildren busy before it's back to school.

Granny Look tries to keep her readers informed of the latest news concerning toys, games, gifts etc.for grandchildren. The most important information she has in this Newsletter is about various products which have been recalled, and where you can find out if your grandchildren have any of these. Have you, or anyone you know, bought them, maybe as early Christmas gifts, birthday, christening or special occasion presents, for your grandchildren Perhaps, for some reason, their parents are not aware of these recalls, so now, through Granny Look, you can let them know too.

Also look at http://service.mattel.com/uk for a list of character branded toys (Dora, Go Diego, Lazy Town) sold from May to August 2007 which have been recalled. Also on this website you will find a Phone and Helpline number for Fisher-Price, in case you are not sure about any of their products your grandchildren may have, so you can contact them in person.

www.amazon.com have two books to encourage your grandchildren to read, learn and play. The Great Big Book of Children's Games is a book as well as games!
