Hello to all readers!

Granny Look is sure by the time you receive this edition of the newsletter, all thoughts will be turning to Christmas. However, before that she has put together some new and exciting ideas for you and your grandchildren, as well as a couple of early "Christmassy things".

HALF TERM HOLIDAYS AND GUY FAWKES NIGHT

For those readers who have grandchildren at school, the long-awaited half-term holiday is or will soon be here, so Granny Look has researched some fun things for you all to do.

There is a great new fun family movie out from Disney called Ratatouille - about a rat in Paris who wants to be a chef - check out details of other fun movies for the kids at www.moviemom.com.

ZSL London (& Whipsnade) Zoo have all sorts of half-term happenings including lots of "hands-on" activities. Go to www.zsl.org/zsl-london-zoo then click on the first heading ZSL London Zoo. You should find a wise old owl there who will tell you all about the events if you click under him on "Find out more"!

If your grandchildren love Guy Fawkes (Bonfire) Night, the best and safest way to help them enjoy it is to take them along to an organised display - some of which have other attractions as well!

www.enjoyengland.com/attractions/events/calendar/november gives details of Bonfire Night events with a great choice of locations - there's sure to be one near you or your grandchildren - and they have links to the major ones for further details.

Maybe you're just going to have a small Bonfire Party at home - if so you need to visit www.fireworksafety.co.uk/ - click on the links to find out everything you should know for a safe and enjoyable evening.
