NEWSLETTER FROM AMERICA

Autumn in the U.S: In the great northwest that means beautiful, sunny days with crisp mornings and evenings. The leaves on deciduous trees begin to change color, but the evergreens, staple of the area, stay green. The result is a collage of oranges, reds, yellow, browns and greens. Fall is one of the best times to take strolls in outdoor gardens, parks, or take short day hikes in the nearby Columbia Gorge, Mt. Hood or Mt. Rainier areas. Move quickly to take those last chances at outdoor fun before the rainy season sets in. Here are several links to information on beautiful day hikes in the Northwest of our great America.

Grandpas, here is your chance to take your little ones to a local high school or college game complete with hot dogs, peanuts, cotton candy and the like. Sitting in the stands and cheering for your favorite team is a ton of fun for everyone.

For beach lovers some of our most wonderful opportunities to explore and roam the beaches are on the weekends in fall. Be sure to dress for quick weather changes, and be on guard for high tides and sneaker waves that can be more prevalent as the season changes. While camping at this time of year may be only for the brave, daytrips or overnighters in local motels or cabins make for wonderful family memories.
